HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THE PRICE OF YOUR PRODUCTS?

Only premium quality vintage garments and materials are individually sourced across Europe and not bought in bulk to eliminate waste of unusable and unfit garments. The Archive Closet produces a limited amount of products each collection drop. Due to the unique characteristics of each garment, there is not one standard cut and production approach, meaning each garment has to be designed and made individually by an experienced dressmaker, which takes more time and cost. For this reason, our manufacturing prices are considerably high, leaving our margin relatively low. The Archive Closet is against the linear economy, hyper-consumption, and overproduction; due to this fact, there are no promotions, sales, or Black Friday discounts to get rid of unsold stock. It was a conscious decision made by the brand for a better future for our planet, therefore we believe that we charge a fair price for something that is made to last.

HOW WILL I KNOW MY SIZE?

Since The Archive Closet upcycles and creates unique, genderless garments from vintage materials, there is no one standard sizing for our products. On each product page, you will see a product description with measurements (cm/inch) to help you better determine if the garment will fit your body. To better understand the fit and sizing, additional information about each garment will be provided. For example, a photo of a model wearing the garment indicating the height, as well as a guide on how to take measurements.

WHEN AND HOW CAN I USE MY TRACKING NUMBER?

As soon as your order is dispatched you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link. The link is active when the carrier has picked up and scanned your shipment, which is why the link may not work the minute you receive it in the shipping confirmation.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

We aim at shipping all orders that are confirmed as soon as possible, within 2-3 business days.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER, ONCE IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED?

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to change or cancel your order, once it is confirmed.

I RECEIVED MY ORDER BUT IT IS EITHER FAULTY/DAMAGED, INCOMPLETE OR CONTAINING A WRONG PRODUCT. HOW CAN I GET A REFUND/EXCHANGE?

Please contact Customer Service as soon as you discover that your order is not as you expected. You can write us an email: info@thearchivecloset.com. We are open Monday - Friday from 10 am to 5 pm (GMT).

 

If you received a damaged/faulty product please send a picture to Customer Service of the garment showing the issue and forward your receipt and/or online order number. We need this information before we process your complaint. 

HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM?

Invest in pieces you will love and cherish for a long time. We take meticulous care and quality control for each item before it is shipped to the customer. Before making your purchase read the item description and sizing information carefully and review all photographs of the item before making the final decision.

Our /riːl/cycled premium vintage quality garments might have some minor signs of pre-loved wear. Due to the nature of vintage materials, there might be slight discolourations, marks or thread pulls, which are naturally associated with vintage.

 

Consumers have a 14-day cancellation right from the moment the goods are delivered.  We will offer a refund if an item is faulty, not as described, or does not do what it's supposed to. Goods returned with a probable cause must be unworn, undamaged, and clean, without any signs of use. To learn more about this, read our Terms and Conditions. 

For orders that are returned to us from outside the UK kindly note:

Any duties/taxes/additional custom fees/shipping costs to the UK related to the return have to be borne by the customer and will be deducted from the refund. Please inform yourself about how to declare the goods in order to avoid any extra costs before shipping your return.

 

Good to know: Each year 5 billion tons of waste is created in landfills through returned clothing fuelling 15 million tons of CO2 emissions into the air because the capacity of handling returns and quality control is too costly to preserve the same high standards of the brand to the next customer.
